Johannes A. Volkers is responsible for International Business within the SwissRapide Advisory Board.

 

Higher Education:

  • HBS-B (Hogere Burgerschool) Diploma in Mathematics

  • AMBI (Informatics training on academic level in several modules).

  • Various training courses in organisational management and ICT.

Field of Specialisation:

  • Providing expert opinions and advice on Transport application domains such as road, rail, logistics and infrastructure

  • Design & development of an Asset Management Control (Expert) system for strategic maintenance of railway infrastructure.

  • Providing expert opinions on asset management control for best performance of core business. 

Professional experience:

Johannes A. Volkers has profound international experience as Program- and Project Manager in various European Cooperation projects, especially in the area of Railway Infrastructure, Automotive and Logistics. He was also responsible for the coordination between the different projects and led the proposal for the largest project undertaken. Projects involved were SPITS, ECOMOVE, MOBINET, EURIDICE, ICARGO and others.

 

He also worked for ProRail as a Principal Management Consultant and gave advice on supplier strategies that were considered by the Board of ProRail, which lead to hundreds of millions of cost savings in the program.

 

Johannes A. Volkers has extensive leadership experience including management of teams of 50 to 60 consultants and coordinating 12 partner organisations. Johannes was a member of the steering group for a large scale ITS project with a total value of € 63 million.
